prolonged bday wkend :p

last saturday was my bday, and despite hating my own birthdays and feeling sad at turning 22, it was still a really nice day meetin up with yanlan, annie and vanessa in london! we had lunch at Rainforest Cafe, and im goin to steal annie's description: we "ate lunch with the zebras and baboons and parrots. Our conversation promptly interrupted by the thundering monsoon rain. It was all very exciting"!!

we walked around camden market, and i never saw a place so abundant with magic mushrooms.. then we went to, hmm, i can't remember the name of that (norwegian?) pub and had peach beer! had a fab day, thanks for coming out guys! ^_^

on sunday, went to london again with ian, and we went to see the Lion King musical! wah it was so cool - the costumes and stage were stunning! although simba's semi-american accent was a bit disturbing hehee.. i loved the music and dancing, wanted to sing along so badly but thought it might embarass myself, esp as the theatre was packed with all these kids and their mums, and i seemed to the most excited of them all.. :p

and to prolong my bday a bit more, i went for mexican food with friends in brighton on monday nite.. and then sat in a pub til we all nearly fell asleep (we're such a happening lot!) and finally retired home to bed! this has been probably the first bday that i've really made an effort to celebrate on the day itself.. so thanks to the ppl who made it a happy occasion! ^_^
