sad sad geek!
okies so i havent posted for absolutely yonks.. been really busy lately, tho not "exciting" busy but "boring" busy - working! it sucks.. for once in my life ive been working HARD, and get this - voluntarily! this never even happened when i was in cambridge.. what's happening to me? yes ive become a true and genuine geek. i hate this whole phd thing!! stuck in the sodding lab til 8 or 9 every night last week, doing sodding experiments that never work anyways! T_T i jus feel stupid all the time and feel like i need to prove myself.. and that is driving me to crazy workaholism!! maybe i should jus loosen up a bit and i will be better off.. is this what the working life is like? when nobody's watching over u or setting u deadlines and you're responsible for your own success or failure.. i can't handle it man! gimme a lazy slob's uni life again anytime!! :p
changing the subject slightly, last saturday i had a day away from this manic working life and i went to london with ian.. i thought it was worthy to be documented in my blog because.. wait for it.. i ate a squirrel!!! haha initially i wasnt sure abt it cos everyone knows squirrels are too cute to be eaten.. but i got daring and ordered it. it was actually quite tasty!! but the squirrel's liver that they used to make a pate was kinda gross.. the restaurant we went to was quite unique.. kinda posh but not (apparently ian saw its chef on tv in the states last year and just HAD to go there - he's a bit of a food lover).. its called st johns in farringdon.. but the meal in the end cost 40 pounds each!! so i dont think i can afford anymore food for the next week at least.. :p
