wkend@cambridge

spent last wkend up in cam staying with denise. it was so good, not hectic but jus spent our time relaxing, going for coffee, cooking dinner, watching dvds etc. went to midsummer common for fireworks on sat night - it still amazes me how the whole cambridge population descends on this little bit of grass at 7.30 every Nov 5th! but it was actually quite a good display - better than i remembered! (or maybe it jus improved) ooh ooh and guess what, i found TIME CRISIS II at the funfair arcade!! its a shooting game that i got addicted to in brighton - i know, not the best thing to get addicted to! but eh.. it was also really good to see eleanor and yanlan this wkend, also ben and grace and other cf ppl, as well as amazing chance meetings with carman, gloria, rita and sujata - it was soo lovely to catch up with each of them, im so glad to have caught them! :D

this time visitng cambridge seemed different. the last few times it still felt natural to be back, like i'd never left, but this time i felt more distant, like it wasnt my home anymore. i guess that might be a good thing, that brighton is slowly becoming my home now, tho its still a bit sad! but its nice that even while the place may be slipping into the past, i still feel as natural as i ever was with the people and friends from cambridge! and i hope i always will!
