scary drag queens

last night i went out in brighton with some coursemates.. went to "dynamite boogaloo" nite at a club called the Joint - they played some good chart music ^^ but halfway thru the nite they stopped the music and a drag queen came up to the stage and did a little song, and hosted a mini-quiz show with "princess knickers" (who was literally dressed in knickers and that was abt it).. only at a brighton clubnite hav i ever experience this sort of thing!! weird.. ~_~ and i've also decided that i dont like clubbing nemore.. maybe its cos im gettin on in years (!!) but i think i havent had as much fun goin out in brighton so far cos the im not really that close to the mates i go out with yet (mainly been going out with coursemates - ie. other postgrads in my dept), and i dont really see the point of going out if its not to hav a laugh with your friends.. somehow the dancing and the drinking alone just dont make a good nite. ive met a few ppl here at sussex whom i feel i can connect with, but somehow with my coursemates (whom i see the most) i dont feel like we click that much.. maybe it'll come more with time i dunno?
but having moaned abt the boredom of clubbing, im sure i'll still find myself goin out again all too soon.. ~_~
