lots of excitin things

have had quite a manic week so far.. (which included horrendous amounts of stress trying to connect my laptop to the internet which still isnt solved yet >_<) went on pubcrawl round brighton on tues night which was cool.. tho we ended up in a club playing hardcore rock music which to be honest isnt quite my favourite scene!! =p and for the second time in a row i've tried to get the nite bus back to campus from brighton but havent found it and ended up payin 12 quid for a taxi back, darn. well i've been getting to kno the others on my course more this week which has been fab =)

also, on thurs nite i started mandarin classes!!! its an open language course that i enrolled myself on.. there are abt 12 ppl, some older ppl from the public and some students - its the most advanced class and they're all fluent, man its scary!! they've all lived in china for several yrs etc. and it puts me to shame really cos i'm actually chinese but cant do my own language!! ~_~ the thing is, i can understand quite well cos i jus translate everything mentally into cantonese, but when we started reading i could hardly do nethin cos i only know traditional chinese, and i discovered that simplified chinese is not simple at all!! *lol*
